Recurve archery historical background

The Europeans first met our ancestors during the 862 Pannonian campaign .
By the X.century the Hungarianss were raiding Europe with their fast horses at their will.
The most advanced weapon of the time was the reflex bow. It's shooting distance was twice as long as the western bows.Because of this our ancestors were able to engage the enemy from a safe distance.
The story goes that a Turkish jannisar once shoot across the Bosporus which is 800 meters in width.
These type of reflex bows were widely used by the various people who were riding their horses from Mongolia to the Carpathians in the inlands of Eurasia.
They were the Schytians, the Huns, the Avars, the Sarmatians etc.

The archer’s opinion:

When drawing the bow,the lower end of it mustn't touch the ground and the upper end must be held and pressed under the bezel.
The hilt sould leanup on the inside part of the thigh, while the lower end of the bow above the bezel should lean up on the outside of your other leg.
